MoFA excursion to Scharnstein 2026

Dear friends of malacology!

On 18. September 2026, this year’s MoFA excursion will take us to Scharnstein in the Almtal valley, Upper Austria. We will visit the nature trail dedicated to native snails (‘Schneckenweg’), which opened last year, and explore the surrounding area.

Organised jointly by MoFA and ZooBot, this excursion is of interest to experts, as well as interested amateurs and children.

We plan to travel together by bus to Scharnstein, where we will enjoy a varied programme of activities, returning in the evening.
The cost of the excursion (including bus journey) is €15 for members and €30 for non-members. For further details, see:
